Barcelona, NY
In the course of my regular duties as a freelance network television cameraman I get to travel around the country. I hadn't made any advance plans to visit Barcelona, New York, but since I had a nearby business trip the decision was made to visit the lighthouse. I found it very interesting to see this historic lighthouse sitting about 30 feet from the road and felt it was important to capture the lights trails of a passing car. The light in the lantern room is an actual burning gas flame from an underground natural gas supply that was deeded a century ago. My friend Dante Bellini was along for the ride and helped light the tower with a dimmed LED light on a stand.
