Burncoat Harbor, ME
A number of years ago I'd visited Swans Island off Arcadia National Park near Bar Harbor, Maine while on a network TV shoot for CNN. Little did I know then that I'd be returning later to pursue the lighthouse under the stars. It takes a bit of planning to get to the island and after grabbing the last ferry out of Bass Harbor I arrived in time to do a dusk survey of the lighthouse grounds. The town took control of the lighthouse and home several years ago and have been doing some great renovations with plans to make the house into a museum. I lit the scene with two dimmed LED lights placed at the bottom of the hill.
